Brooktrout SR140 Fail to Register With BabyTEL

 

Overview

The Dialogic Brooktrout SR140 does not register with BabyTEL PABX. This article provides the correct way to set the DisplayName to correct this issue.

 

Environment

  • GFI FaxMaker
  • Dialogic Brooktrout SR140
  • BabyTEL

Root Cause

Values which contain a space have to be set in quotation, otherwise, Dialogic Brooktrout SR140 will fail to register successfully with BabyTEL PBX.

 

Resolution

Verify whether the DisplayName in the From Value field contains any spaces.  If it does, please set the value in quotations.
 

Here are examples:
  • Acceptable value = “Doe, John”<sip:11235551212@sip.babytel.ca>
  • Acceptable value = DoeJohn<sip:11235551212@sip.babytel.ca>
  • Not acceptable value = Doe, John<sip:11235551212@sip.babytel.ca>
