After moving a virtual machine to another host GFI FaxMaker and a Brooktrout SR140, the Brooktrout License Manager reports a 'wrong host' error.
ENVIRONMENT
- GFI FaxMaker
- Dialogic Brooktrout SR140
SOLUTION
- Refer to Article: How to re-host an SR140 license
CAUSE
Dialogic Brooktrout SR140 Fax Software (SR140) licenses are tied to the system node ID (also called 'node lock'), which is based on the host machine's MAC address. If this address changes for any reason, the license will become invalid and you will see a 'wrong host' error in the License Manager.
Note
- Dialogic no longer supports any SDK prior to 6.7.0 (Included with GFI FaxMaker 2014)
- Microsoft Windows Server 2003 is supported by GFI FaxMaker but IS NOT supported by Dialogic for SDK 6.7.0
