Uninstalling Kerio Connect

Overview

This article provides information on the correct uninstallation procedure for Kerio Connect in different operating systems to ensure that all the installation files are handled correctly.

Important

  • You will need to decide whether you wish to delete the datastore and along with configuration files for Kerio Connect as part of the uninstallation process. The uninstall wizard on Windows and macOS offers an option to keep them.
  • For Linux systems, only the file from the original package and the unchanged files are deleted. The configuration files, data store, and other changed or added files would be kept on your computer. You can delete them manually or use them for future installations.

 

Process

 

Windows

You can uninstall the Kerio Connect through Control Panel > Apps & Features using the standard uninstall wizard.

Mac OS X Operating System

You can uninstall Kerio Connect through Kerio Connect Uninstaller. It is available in the installation package of Kerio Connect (your current version).

  1. Download the installation package (your current version) of Kerio Connect.

  2. Run the Kerio Connect Uninstaller application from the extracted Kerio Connect installation package.

  3. If you want to remove the message store and configuration files as part of the uninstallation process, select the appropriate checkboxes, and click Continue.

  4. Click OK to allow access to the "System Events.app."

  5. After successful execution, "The uninstallation was successful" message will be displayed.

Linux Operating System — RPM

You can uninstall Kerio Connect using the following command (for standard Kerio Connect):

# rpm -e kerio-connect

 

Linux Operating System — DEB

You can uninstall Kerio Connect using the following command (for standard Kerio Connect):

# apt-get remove kerio-connect 

To uninstall Kerio Connect completely including the configuration files, use command (for standard Kerio Connect):

# apt-get remove --purge kerio-connect
