How to add an account to access the GFI MailEssentials configuration from the Switchboard

GFI MailEssentials will allow the domain admin account full permission by default. Sometimes, when environmental issues are encountered, MailEssentials will not query the account correctly. You can add user accounts and grant full permission by doing the following:
  1. Navigate to StartAll ProgramsGFI MailEssentialsSwitchboard
  2. Using the UI Mode tab, select the Security button

  1. Click Add and enter the the account that you would like to add. Give this account Full Access permissions and select OK, then Apply.

  1. Run the MailEssentials configuration with the account you just specified
