Overview

The error "Failed to resolve Email Address" is shown when trying to add a journal mailbox via Mail Servers to Archive.

 

Environment

  • GFI Archiver
  • Exchange 2007 SP1 or later

 

Resolution

When configuring the connection of the selected journal mailbox, it is required to enter the login as DOMAIN\username. If the domain name is missing or the username is wrong, authentication will fail.
