PROBLEM

When editing a Microsoft SQL Server Archive Store the following error is shown:
 

ENVIRONMENT

• GFI Archiver
• Microsoft SQL Server

SOLUTION

When connecting to the Microsoft SQL instance through the Archive Store Wizard select Microsoft SQL Server Authentication, instead of Integrated Windows Authentication, and use the SA account.

CAUSE

This error occurs when the account used to access the Microsoft SQL instance through GFI Archiver does not have sufficient permissions.
