Overview

During the times when agents are scanning, multiple lnsscorollary.exe processes use up most of the CPU.

Environment

Root Cause

When the agents finish their scans, the GFI LanGuard attendant service retrieves the scan results files from the agent. The lnsscorollary process is used to process the resulting XML files and send them to the database. If all the agents are scheduled to start and finish their scans around the same time, LanGuard has to process all the resulting files to the database. Consequently, it has to launch more instances of the lnsscorollary.exe process.

Resolution

This system limitation has been addressed in LanGuard 2012 SR1.

Download and install the LanGuard 20121019_01 patch or upgrade to LanGuard 2012 SR1 to resolve this issue.
