Overview

This article describes the process to follow when the scan results cannot be saved in XML format. No error message is displayed. The following will be present in the lanss_v11_apistrings.csv or lanss_v12_apistrings.csv logs:

Root Cause

The file msxml4.dll is not registered in Windows.

Resolution

1. Open a command prompt.
2. Run the following command: regsvr32 msxml4.dll
