Stopping GFI LanGuard from Scanning a Specific Port

Overview

This article guides you on how to prevent GFI LanGuard from scanning a specific port.

 

Process

  1. Open GFI LanGuard console.
  2. Click Configuration.
  3. Expand Scanning Profiles and select the profile to modify.
  4. Click Network & Software Audit Options.
  5. Remove the checkbox from the port you wish to stop scanning.
NOTE: The checkbox next to the port does not disable that specific port from being scanned. When enabled, GFI LanGuard retrieves the banner on that port.
