Overview

This article guides you on how to remove the rules set for patches or vulnerabilities within GFI LanGuard.

Process

From the GFI LanGuard console, one can set up rules to Acknowledge or Ignore vulnerabilities and patches. Once these rules have been set up, these patches would not be listed as missing in future scans. This is particularly useful for applications like Internet Explorer, .NET Framework, etc.

1. Go to Dashboard > Entire Network > Vulnerabilities > Rules Manager to review the rules.
   
   
2. Decide whether to choose to Remove expired rules or Remove the rule completely.
3. Once a modification has been made, scan the targets again for changes to become visible.
