Ignoring Windows Firewall in a GFI LanGuard Vulnerability Scan

Overview

This article outlines how to ignore Windows Firewall in a GFI LanGuard vulnerability scan.

 

Process

  1. Open the GFI LanGuard console.
  2. Click Configuration and select the scanning profile to edit.
  3. Select Edit this profile.

  1. Go to Network & Software Audit Options > Applications.
  2. Check Enable scanning for installed applications on target computer(s).

  3. Select Advanced Options.
  4. Locate the section Firewall Software - Generate high security vulnerabilities when and use the drop-down to select No on No Firewall is detected or Firewall is disabled.
