Overview
Scan results of the agents under the Scanner shows the following message:
The scan does not contain any results. Possible reasons: no computer found alive or scan operation was stopped before retrieving any information.
Replication Steps
- Perform a Refresh and Scan now on an agent and monitor either of the two directories below:
\\TargetComputer\C$\ProgramData\GFI\LanGuard 11\Servers\\ directory
For Microsoft Windows 2003 class computer:
\\TargetComputer\C$\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\GFI\LanGuard 11\\ directory
- Once you find the scan result file
yyyymmddhhmmss.xml
move it to another folder and open it with Internet Explorer to see if it contains the results. - Import the XML file to the LanGuard Scanner:
File > Load scan results from XML and check if you get the same error mentioned above.

Resolution
A fix for this issue has been incorporated into LanGuard 2015 (version 11.4 - build 20150130).
NOTE: Upgrade to the latest LanGuard version when necessary.
- Edit the
toolcfg_agentmanagersettings.xml
with NotePad. - Find the following section/setting:
Change the[CDATA[1]]
value to[CDATA[0]]
.
