Problem Summary
When viewing scan results details of agent scans from the Activity Monitor the scan results display 'The patch management database is unavailable' and do not show any patches / updates as missing (but will show vulnerabilities and Computer info)

How to Identify
1. An agent is not displaying an Microsoft or 3rd party software as needing updates 2. When viewing scan results details of agent scans from the Activity Monitor the scan results display 'The patch management database is unavailable' and do not show any patches / updates as missing (but will show vulnerabilities and Computer info)
Workaround / Fix Details
Change the 'Timeout' value from the default of 300 to 3600 in the following 2 files on the LanGuard Server and all Relay Agents: Filename = httpd-default.conf (and is located in 2 places on the LanGuard server and on each relay agent): 1. C:\Program Files (x86)\GFI\LanGuard 11 Agent\Httpd\conf\extra\httpd_default.conf (or C:\Program Files\GFI\LanGuard 11 Agent\Httpd\conf\extra\httpd_default.conf on a 32-bit computer) 2. C:\ProgramData\GFI\LanGuard 11\HttpdConfig\extra\httpd-default.conf (or C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\GFI\LanGuard 11\HttpdConfig\extra\httpd-default.conf on a 32-bit computer) The developers are working on a solution to this problem for the LanGuard 2013 release (July 2013)

1. Give the customer the workaround. 2. Verify the workaround fixes the problem 3. Close the case
