Overview

Users encounter an error similar to the one shown below when running a report within GFI WebMonitor Report Pack:

Error loading files C:\Program Files (x86)\GFI\GFI WebMonitor ReportPack\Reports\hits_usage_top_users.dfr [-9]

Root Cause

Lack of permissions used to access the reporting files.

NOTE: This issue has been noted to occur for specific users, and the report may run successfully for any user account with administrative permissions.

Resolution

1. On the machine where GFI WebMonitor Report Pack is installed, navigate to: ..program files\common files\gfi. If using a 64-bit OS, the path is: ...program files (x86)\common files\gfi
   
   
2. Review the permissions for the directory noted in step 1 and ensure the user running the report has full rights to this directory and all subfolders.
