PROBLEM

The other end receives a header that overwrites the header of FaxMaker when a fax is sent with FaxMaker over beroCAPI.

ENVIRONMENT

  • GFI FaxMaker 2013 or higher
  • Supported BeroNet BeroFix fax devices

SOLUTION

The beroCAPI header can be disabled as follow:
  1. Open Regedit (Start > Run > type regedit.exe and press Enter)
  2. Browse to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Comisdn\TSP\CSP\VoIP
  3. Add a new REG_DWORD: T38_T30_HeadLine
  4. Assign the value of 1 to disable the beroCAPI header

CAUSE

By default, the beroCAPI overwrites the header of FaxMaker for outbound faxes.
