Error: 'Error 46 / FAILED RES/CODE: Illegal Controller' is encountered when using a Bintec RT1202

PROBLEM

When sending a fax with a Bintec RT1202, the error 46 is displayed in the GFI FaxMaker Monitor.

The ISDN log indicates the following error description:

FAILED RES/CODE: Illegal Controller/PLCI/NCCI. (INFO Value : 8194)

ENVIRONMENT

  • GFI FaxMaker
  • Bintec RT1202
  • Remote CAPI v1.1.5

SOLUTION

Install Remote CAPI v1.0.2.

CAUSE

Version 1.1.5 of Remote CAPI is incompatible with FaxMaker.
