Overview

When configuring the Kerio Connect user account via IMAP in Outlook for Mac, some email folders might be missing. However, the Exchange profile shows folders and subfolders correctly.

macOS Outlook requires a specific procedure to follow in order to enable full IMAP folders synchronization.

Diagnosis

Exchange and IMAP accounts email inconsistency is caused by default protocol implementations. IMAP requires users to subscribe to specific folders in order to show them in the folder list. Exchange synchronizes the folders automatically if they are enabled in Kerio Connect Webmail -> Settings -> Folders to Sync section.

Exchange account allows subscribing to public folders like Contacts, Calendars, Resources, etc.

Outlook for Mac provides a way on how to subscribe and unsubscribe to/from IMAP folders.

Solution

1. Open Outlook application -> Tools -> IMAP folders.
   
2. Select Kerio Connect IMAP account -> select the necessary folders -> click Subscribe.
   

Confirmation

The selected folders are being shown under the Kerio IMAP account folder list.
