Problem Summary

Mailflow backs up into Exchange and is not resumed until the scanning engine services are restarted. Reporting files may be backed up and the Application even viewer reports warnings.

How to Identify

Mailflow will back up into the Exchange queues and will not resume until the scanning engines are restarted. This issue will be accompanied by reporting (DLE cache files) being over their usual 240k size (up into the MB's usually), and the Application event viewer may report the following warnings: Plugin licsvc reports exception: Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component Plugin patchsvc reports exception: Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component
