Problem Summary

Malicious pdf files are not always detected by EmailSecurity when inside an email which is inside another email, when VSAPI option is disabled.

How to Identify

Make sure EmailSecurity is enabled and licensed and the Antivirus engines are enabled as well. The malicious emails should be detected during the sending or receiving stage, not only during the VSAPI scan.

Workaround / Fix Details

Enable VSAPI under EmailSecurity\Information Store Protection point.
