Overview
This article provides the appropriate steps to exclude domains from GFI WebMonitor reports, based on the WebMonitor version you are running.
Process
GFI WebMonitor 2013
- Open the GFI WebMonitor console and go to the Reports tab.
- Click on the report you wish to modify.
- Select Websites and click the Exclude button.
- Add the domain name to exclude, e.g., mydomain.com.
- Click the Save button to save settings.
GFI WebMonitor 2015 and later
- Open the GFI WebMonitor Management Console and go to the Reports tab.
- Click on the report you wish to modify.
- Select the Data tab and click the Websites option.
- Add the domain name to exclude, e.g., mydomain.com.
- Click the Save button to save settings.
Important Notes
- Only exact top-level domain names should be added to the exclusion list. Sub-domains, e.g., example.mydomain.com or wildcards, are not supported.
- It is not possible to exclude a sub-domain only, but include the top-level domain. To exclude example.mydomain.com, it is required to exclude mydomain.com entirely.
- Even when full URL setting is enabled in the policies, it will not reflect in the reports. The reports can only show the domain, not the whole URL accessed.
