Problem Summary
When selecting a OU, the list of machines does not populate in the LanGuard console. This usually works when the user chooses a OU with fewer computers.

How to Identify
- Go to 'Dashboard' tab > Overview - On the left pane, select the Local Domain or an Organizational Unit (OU) - If the timeout expires, you will get the message: 'There is no data available in this category for your current selection' You can also find the error in the configtools log file: 2014-11-25,17:09:12,636,1,"#0000063c","#00001774","error ","CommonUtils","GenericDbConnection.GetDataSet - Error System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Timeout expired. Workaround / Fix Details
Do the following to extend the timeout: - On LanGuard server, browse the path (on 2003/XP) or (on Vista/2008/7) - Edit the file toolcfg_database.xml - Add the line
after the line
- Save the changes and restart GFI LanGuard service
Required Actions
1- Attach the article to the case 2- Follow the workaround 3- If the issue persist escalate to PSG
