How to backup and restore the GFI WebMonitor (Standalone Proxy Version) Configuration

To backup the GFI WebMonitor (Standalone Proxy Version) configuration, please make a backup of the following GFI WebMonitor configuration files:

GFI WebMonitor 2015 and later

• Copy the Entire directory ...\GFI\WebMonitor\Data\

GFI WebMonitor 2012 and 2013

• GFI\WebMonitor\Interface\App_Data\configuration.db
• GFI\WebMonitor\Interface\App_Data\ProxyConfig.xml
• GFI\WebMonitor\Interface\App_Data\quarantine.db
• GFI\WebMonitor\Data\WEBMON.FDB

To restore the GFI WebMonitor (Standalone Proxy Version) Configuration, follow the below procedure:

1. Stop the GFI WebMonitor services from the services console:
   •  GFI WebMonitor Service 
   •  GFI WebMonitor Core Service (version 2013 and 2015 only)
   •  GFI Proxy Service
2. Copy and replace the GFI WebMonitor Configuration files listed above
3. Start the GFI WebMonitor Service from the services console
